The ceremony can include:

- The formal naming and presentation of the child to the community
- Symbolic offerings (such as mead, soil, and water) to signify life, growth, and protection

- A special runic blessing bestowed upon the child

- Blót ritual (offering) to honor and give thanks for the life lived
- A Rune of Remembrance drawn and spoken over the ashes or body
- Final blessings and release of the spirit to its journey in the realms beyond
Ceremonies can be adapted for cremation, burial, or memorial services and may be held at funeral homes, cemeteries, private homes, or sacred outdoor spaces.
The Hallowing of Hearth and Hall

In Norse tradition, the home is a sacred space — a reflection of the family’s frith (peace) and a fortress of protection against chaos.
Through the Hallowing of Hearth and Hall, we cleanse away ill luck and stagnant energies, then invite the blessings of the Gods, Ancestors, and land spirits.
The ceremony includes:
- Ritual smudging or asperging (sprinkling) with blessed water, salt, or smoke
- Calling upon the landvættir (land spirits) for harmony and protection
- Blessing of thresholds (doors and windows) with symbolic markings such as runes (Algiz for protection, Ingwaz for fertility and peace)
- Lighting of a new hearth flame (candle or fire) to symbolize new life and protection
- Spoken blessings invoking Frigg (hearth and home), Thor (protection), and the Ancestors
- Optional individual blessings for family members present
- Offerings left at a sacred tree, stone, or the land itself to honor the spirits
The ritual can be performed when moving into a new home, after conflict or illness, or simply to renew the sacredness of a space.
